The Architecture & Construction Management Tech Prep program is a two-year commitment designed to develop and prepare juniors and seniors to pursue a career in the various fields of the design and construction industry. There is an academic focus on integrated education, having a math and science component as part of each year of the program. Our computer lab is equipped with current technology, and there is an emphasis on utilizing this technology to the fullest potential.
The program is offered by Eastland-Fairfield Career and Technical Schools and is housed at the satellite location at Gahanna Lincoln High School. There are 24 junior openings available each year, and students are drawn from 16 high schools in the East and Southeast portions of Columbus.
Architecture & Construction Management is a school-to-college program that provides students with a broad-based knowledge of the industry. Most students will go on to some type of post-secondary education, whether it be a two-year or a four-year college or university. There are many career paths and educational opportunities through this program such as shadowing, mentoring, summer internships and post-secondary options at local colleges.
